Ayatans aren't worth selling unless you have like 20 of them.
Then you can start selling for like 10-20p and even more if your buyer is a Prime Access dude with too much plat.
I sell Armored Agility for 4p; I would never ever agree that Armored Agility for Orta Sculpture is an even trade.
A trade only happens when both players agree on a price, or better yet if the buyer accepts the seller price.
If you found 5p to be a fair trade for your statue, then no scam was done, if you fell like you should have gotten more then you must specify this value to the buyer in the chat window before the trade actually happens.
The price differs from player to player but all prices are fair, from 1p to any big number is valid, all that differs is if you accept it or not.
The other player asked, you replied 5, then by all means no scam was done.
Your question seems to be "could i sold it for more", yes, yes you could, this happens for any trade really.
It's similar to that question, "could i get x item for less or even for free from clanmates", yes, yes you could, happens all the time.
I for example, wouldn't buy it because i don't need it, but desperate players might give 50 maybe.
If you should sell it for 5 or 50 isn't the question, you should find YOUR own price, currently sits at 5 and that's perfectly fine.
The faster you (and other players) understand this, the less "omg i got scammed" topics will appear and less lectures on correct pricing will appear
its fine. Everything in this game for me is a learning experience.
Next I just have to make sure to sell for its real value.
you can give out things for free if you really wanted to.
theres no rush to sell something, if its something people want, mutiple people will want it.
you can pretty much haggle with mutiple people and get a rough idea for price... or get a really good price on something... i got a dual toxocyst riven mod with a great stats for 60p when every other person i was asking was trying to charge 200+
that person you sold it to got a great deal. there is no fixed price, just market trends.
I just sold an Orta (worth 2700 endo) for 50 platinum.
Q: Did I get scammed?
A: @KIREEKPSO's respond: No.Your question seems to be "could I bought it for less", yes, yes you could, this happens for any trade really.
@OP, you see your issue here?
Just because you could've sold it for more, doesn't mean you got scammed. The table can flip easily, and you could've been the one who "scammed" others.
If I sold a thing valued at around 15-20P for 50P I just scammed someone else......
You do understand what scamming means? It means to decieve someone in a deal.
I am not angry about it. I just was eager to sell my item that I did not price check it :P
Warframe market has no set value.
If say Orta Ayatan will cease to be obtainable tomorrow, its value will sky rocket to 400p or even more week or so later on.
In your case, you were simply ignorant of how much an Orta Ayatan sculpture usually goes for.
But as long as you agree'd to sell for that price, and the buyer agree'd to pay for that price; And said item is in fact the item you both agree'd to trade for, there's no scam involved. No matter the price.
It'll be considered Scam, if say someone said they're selling Legendary Core, and giving you a Rare Core, and told you that that's a Legendary Core, and charged you for 400p or whatever amount, then that'd be scamming.
In another case, back when Focus Lens were just introduced. DE forgot to put the Greater Lens into the market. People were buying regular Lens at 100p, and Greater Lens at 400p. Few days later, DE fixed the market, and shoved Greater Lens into market for only 40p.
Does that mean players who previously traded for the Greater Lens / Lens for abnormous amount of platinum scammed? No, it was a fair trade. Both parties agree'd to the conditions.
The reason I'm clarifying this for you, is because what you said - "If I could have sold it for more then I got scammed. lol " That is simply not true, so please don't be one of those guys that goes around calling others scammers, or spamming support tickets just because they didn't get a deal that they wish they had.
But since you wanna know the value/ an estimated price, here's one way to express the value of an ayatan treasure based on the endo costs of maxed mods.
As my reference i'll take the price of maxed legendary (primed) mods listed on https://warframe.market/ .
The offers start around 400, let's calculate with 450p.
To max one of those mods u'll need 40,920 endo, based on this value 1p is worth 90.93333 ~ 91 Endo.
A fully charged Orta (2700 endo) would be worth 29.670.... ~ 30 Plat.
Next time just do your research properly.
i really thought i dont have to write everything...... but well never expect smth from others. just dont do it... i got it.
