Also, about that tlist... It's still more of a general recommendation, as many of the low-tier weapons from the list can be reasonably powerful in certain situations or with certain mod loadouts, and some of the 'better' ones actually suffer from certain issues some players find negligable while others really don't like them for. If you want opinions on some particlar weapons or frames, whether it is "if it's any good?" or "what <thing> would be a good item to have in the <situation>?", feel free to ask about that instead.
Without going into details, i have seen some of brozime videos recently and i stopped watching them instantly after seeing 3 major flaws:
- comparing oberon effective health with other warframes (an uncomparable situation)
- complaining to much about focus, taking ages to adress the real issues and sugestions for improvement were scarse, most of the time was just him complaining
- trying to kill a lvl 140 heavy gunner with smite, then proceding saying it's ♥♥♥♥ when it didn't kill.
Take my sugestion instead, check the warframes and the weapons yourself and mod them the way to fit your gameplay, use the warframes to fit your style and use them in the situations you want.
Some will cast smite to knockdown dangerous enemies and produce ground finishers, they will gain time, proc radiation and so on, others will use smite to kill lvl 140 heavy gunners, which are you, only you can tell.
All i can say is that if you follow brozime sugestions, at the very best, you will be dreadfull.
I suggested the videos as a starting point for a tierlist. Sure there will be disagreements about some stuff as there is always with tierlists. For example, I wouldn't have ranked pre-rework Limbo as low as he did since there were a number of rescue sorties where Limbo came in very useful.
Every Warframe (except Hydroid) has unique skills that can be useful at some point in the game.
Most people don't have time to check out all the weapons especially, so that's where a Tierlist comes in handy.
There is nothing that Hydroid does that could not be accomplished better by numerous other warframes that's just fact. For resource gathering Nekros is better than the tentacle monsters. For area Crowd Control Vauban and a bunch of other frames are way better than sad puddle, The 1 is so inconsistent it isn't worth talking about. This leaves Tidal Surge which is ok (not great, but ok). And his stat line is substandard, so there is no real good use for him hence why he desperately needs a rework.
This however is aplicable to me, facts made by other players are irrelevant, other players aren't me.
Like, what.
This is the sad puddle tactic on interception isn't it.
I think the issue with the Twin Roggas for him is the point at which you get them during the game. While the damage is high, the status and crit are lacking (for a slow firing weapon especially) and the 2 shot magazine is lackluster. So by that point in the game you should have weapons considered to be more viable. The Orvius has a fun Gimmick, but is kind of hard to use in practice. Throwing Melee has that issue in general which is why it is less popular.
It's boring? yes
Is it effective, yes.
