How to use the Streamer Features

Sticky Business allows your viewers, followers or subscribers to be in your game! There are two features to choose from.

Custom Names in The Game

You can add a list of usernames as custom names.

The steps are numbered so you can check in this screenshot[links.spellgardengames.com] where you should click exactly.

• Go to Settings.
  
• Go to Streamer Settings.
  
• Click on the Edit button at the top.
  
• A text editor will open where you can paste the custom names.
  
• Each row represents one name.
  
• Save the file and close it.
  
• You can check if it works by clicking the 'Reload' button. The text should now give you a count of names that were found.

The game will use these names randomly until every name is used by a customer.
When all your custom names have been used, the game game will use the default name generator.

Twitch-Live Integration

Everyone streaming live on Twitch can connect their streaming account with the game to allow viewers to order your own stickers.

The steps are numbered so you can check in this screenshot[links.spellgardengames.com] where you should click exactly.

Setup

• Go to Settings.
  
• Go to Streamer Settings.
  
• Enter your twitch username and your twitch channel name. In most cases the channel name is your twitch username.
  
• Click on 'Authenticate'. This will prompt you to authenticate our Twitch-App in your browser.
  
• You will be redirected and your authentication code should be added automatically in the authentication text-field.
  If this doe not work you can use the code that is displayed in the browser.
  
• Click on 'Connect'.
  The app will now try to establish a connection with the Twitch servers. This might take a few seconds.
  
• A new status indicator will appear in the top right corner of the game to show you the status of the connection.
  If the connection fails during your playtime the game will try and reconnect. If it fails you will get an error message.

You might need to re-authenticate about every two months.

Using the Integration In-Game

You have two options to specifiy how the integration should work:
You can specify how orders a picked from your viewers:
- The first viewers to order will be picked until there are no more orders left.
- Users can order and will be selected randomly after the timer has finished.

You can also limit your orders to subscribers only. This might be useful for bigger streamers that want to create more value to their subscribers.

Ordering

Users can order in the sleep screen.

Your stickers will be shown with their IDs beside them and the cost of the sticker. Users will have to add that Id to their command like so:

!order 1 2 3

In this example a user has ordered your first, second and third sticker.
Note: It's important to add spaces between the IDs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you add Youtube-Live or Kick support?

We don’t plan on supporting anything else then the current Twitch API. But you can always use the Custom Names Feature to add in your subscribers/followers/viewers/petreons if you have them as a text file.

Will there be more features other than ordering stickers?

We know this integration has so much more potential! But we decided to focus our time and effort towards the game itself and add more features instead.

I can't authenticate!

In rare cases it can happen that other software on your computer is interfering with our authentication system. Please check if you have any software running that uses Port 8080 on your computer.

If the authentication still doesn't work you can use this link[id.twitch.tv] to authenticate manually. The code will be shown to you and you will need to copy it manually.

The !order command works automatically after you have connected the twitch integration with your twitch account.

The game calculates each day, how many customers are able to order. The twitch integration also uses this (you can see a 0 / X in the top right corner of the left box in the twitch screen). When there are enough orders then a faster timer starts. In a future update, we might remove the second timer. We've seen that it causes a bit of confusion :)
Also in the Streamer settings there is a Setting "First Come First Serve". If this is turned on, then only the viewers that ordered first are chosen and when there are enough orders for the day, the game continues.

Your viewers can order multiple stickers at one by typing !order 2 2 2 in the chat. Each number represents on sticker they want to buy. Viewers can only order, if they don't have an outstanding order in your game. When their order is fulfilled by you in game, they will be able to order again.

To add to that: Every chatter has a budget, you can see it right above the tablet. So if they exceed this budget, thay can't order any more stickers. That's why sometimes people can order only one.

So I noticed while playing the game that my viewers couldn't order any stickers above 23 designs. I've currently got 24 designs but they can't order the 24th. Is this just a bug on my end or is just the current system? And will there be updates to show more stickers or a scroll function during the ordering phase to show more stickers other than 18?

Why does every time I try to connect on Stream Integration it always says "not connected" at the corner of my screen? :(
