Friendly fire is currently on by default. There is limited damage taken from other players.
We have not yet discussed if it should be an option.
But it might make sense for players hosting a game to have that as an option. We will think about it! :)
Friendly fire can of cause be fun when playing with the right people.. But problematic when you when you play with the wrong people!
Also out of the box I don't think there should be a penalty for enabling friendly fire?!
Please share any other thoughts out there on the matter.
Cheers
Jonas
Thanks for the response, if this game is anything like Helldivers then I'm thinking the friendly fire is more of a feature than a setting. Makes it a miss for me, but I'd also say don't listen to people like me because it'd take the game in a different direction than what it sounds like is intended by design, and I bet there's a lot of people who will love what you're doing. Good luck with everything, hoping for a great launch!
DarkSwarm has many inspirational sources. Including a bunch of Helldivers. And of cause we want the game to feel like it's own creation. And obviously it will be impossible to please everybody when making anything. 😅
We will see where we land regarding FF. TBD.
Thank you! 😊
And also thanks for sharing your thoughts. Appreciated!
Cheers
Jonas
