Overall, so far, this game just has the one prestige, and it just goes to Mars. It will still take a lot of time to automate getting to Mars, and then getting more and more prestige coins to maximize other things, so even as-is, it can still take several months to get through the current content.
as far as when to prestige and what to buy with the coins, as you can guess, going to higher zones can give more prestige points. and then using gold coins and prestige coins to buy upgrades, can give more prestige points as well, not to mention upgrading the cost of upgrades to be cheaper. so overall, you will be able to
as far as junk goes, there are a few items or upgrades that you can see the benefit of right away, so it might tempt you to stay in that area and collect stuff. however, that is still fairly early in the game, and those benefits may not be as useful as just continuing on to the next zone to get more prestige coins (because again, the more time you spend in higher level zones, the generally more prestige coins you can get)
I'm all for another game filling the role of "simpler leaf blower", as that gets really... hairy/odd as one gets further along. I do hope the dev is planning to add enough complexity to make it.... more of a "game" and less of a "prestige 1-3 times a day then flip it to the background". Right now I get that it's early, and the visuals are great/interesting, but the gameplay itself is very one-note. If the dev has some good plans for it, I'll look forward to seeing those play out!
