No idea what to do!

Hey, I've been following the development of Full Fathom on Twitter and really liked the look of it.

I booted up the demo and.... felt completely lost. No tutorial, didn't seem to be any player guidance at all. Walking around and exploring the sub, it's apparent there are a lot of systems and complexity to the gameplay that would need some easing-into rather than being dropped into it blind. I managed to find a journal telling me to navigate to the coordinates 712, tried inputting it into the computer and it gave me an error, and that's about as far as I got.

It's a bit complicated, but you need to have a lot of agency.
The floppy disk on the sonar, for example, will give you the proper routes so you're able to go to 712. The demo doesn't hold your hand, so you're on your own for now, trial and error

I do expect a fair amount of self-navigating with this demo, so some feeling of being lost is normal at the beginning. There is a sticky note that should hopefully guide you towards using the floppy disk, but it may not be explicit enough at the moment

I can't get out of the first little room you start in..... I want to explore more of the game!
