There are multiple Enlightened Amulets in the game (Thelyron has one that you may be able to pickpocket, if he is still in the clinic). If you continued on to Silverglen you would eventually get one from another NPC, and would be able to return to the church.
There is an exploit to get through the barrier, as well: use telekinesis level 2 to move a vase closer to the barrier, then open the vase, put a teleporter pyramid inside and you can teleport past the barrier.
The Save Game Editor[www.larian.com] can also add an amulet to a character's inventory (if you right click on an open inventory slot and add an item, the "Immaculate's Amulet" is a little less than 2/3 of the way down the list if you expand the Objects, Generic category).
Create a new save to try this with, or make a copy of your latest save. If it doesn't work for some reason, you can just delete the edited save. It should work, though.
Thank you!
Edit: I did check my inventories, there was no enlightened amulet in any of my characters' inventories.
EDIT #2: I checked my inventories again, and lo and behold, it was in one of my main character's inventories. I feel stupid now lol.
