crafting large bars?

Hi,

I have been trying to make large steel bars, by combining two regular bars, but nothing happens. Apart from adding the two bars together in a stack.
Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

You should get the dialogue that asks you whether you want to stack or craft them.

nope not getting that dialogue box.
IS this tied to a specific crafting/smithing level? So far I have only tried steel bars.
I have done this with two stacks of 3 bars and two single bars, the same thing happens.

Correction: The last patch might have broken this recipe, since it only works with Iron Bars now.

Is this still broken? Can't seem to craft large steel bars

the only way I could get this to work is crafting large iron bars and then upgrading them to steel.
