What to do...? i just talk whit him and all the animal and leave the place... then read the quest and can't find him anymore... how for turn in the quesT?

I might be mistaken, but, wasn't his plan to go sell the animals in hunter's edge or something? The third area, I mean.

For those just trying to finish this quest and get it out of your questlist, I had the same problem, he was gone after I learned the pet pal trait and didn't find him again. I went to the Immaculate Academy in Sacred Stone and talked to the Immaculate teacher and one of the dialog lines made the quest complete for me. But I don't think I got any reward. As I said, this would be the "bad" solution, but at least it will marked as completed.

This is the correct solution if anyone is still wondering (5 years later) ^^. If you do not do it on the spot, it seems he brings the cattle to the immaculates immediately and they are sacrificed.
