Can't get past the door in the source temple
Hello there,
so I entered the source temple and talked to the door. Apparently you need all star stones and a bunch of blood stones to enter. I am fairly sure that I got all star stones and every but one blood stone, also activated them all. The only thing I don't have is the fragment of a bloodstone from Maradinos hideout but it shouldn't actually be the problem.

I checked and definitely unlocked the following star stones:

- The one at the crime scene in Cyseals tavern
- The one you get after choosing who Evelyn cures
- The one at the bridge to Luculla
- The one from Braccus Rex' chest
- The one in King Boreas treasure room
- The one at the immaculates initiation (get it automatically)
- The one in the cathedral of the immaculates (also automatically after the fight)
- The one in the source temple itself, that you need to dig out

Well. In the walkthrough I got it says you'd need ten starstones. But only eight are listed and these are the ones I got. Which ones am I missing? Apparently I need another two. It appears that I don't have everything unlocked in Homestead, but I really don't know how to check upon this. Please help, so close to finishing. Thanks!

Do I actually need to carry the inert stones with me? I left them laying around after unloading.

Yes, The GAME-OVER-DOOR! :(

I read somewhere from 12 to 15 stones do you must have to enter the door. I got only 9 and NO, i dont want to travel back and search. Big, big gamedesignfail imo.

I'm not quite sure if you actually need the empty stones to pass. I think you need to have everything unlocked in your homestead and this should happen without carrying that crap. I mean, really, if they were THAT important they should've just made them reappear in your inventory as a big fat important item and not just drop to the floor like a worthless piece of crap.

I mean, even if you do need to carry them, as long as you let them lay where they appeared it should not be that hard to find them again, should take about 30 minutes to pick them all up.

I realized that it rains fire in my homestead. I didn't to the giant bloodstone quest. Apparently you need that one. I will look into the issue tomorrow.

Yeah you USE the bloodstones to finish unlocking all the portals in your Homestead...then the Skullhead Door will open in source temple, not really sure if you need to have 14 stones in your posession also or not. But all Homestead portals unlocked is a must.

now i got 12 stones the skull-game over-door will not open..but all portals in homestead??? how can i do this, what i missed? i ve got only the "inner home" or something like this, the "hall of hereos" for the mercenaries and a fireelemental-cove...

?????

Do you have the red bloodstones in inventory? Use them, this opens portals in homestead.

I used up all the bloodstones but the one shard I am missing. Maybe that giant bloodstone quest thingy is blocking the progress. Will get to it asap

I found out what the problem was.. I never actually activated all the portals in my homestead, e.g. following Zigzag around and visiting every new place.

sry, but i dont unterstand nothing..???
i have 12 used bloodstones (in german it is "inaktiver stein" like deactivateted stone) and i've got only portals in the homestead to: hall of heroes, to the inner homestead(sry dont know the english name for) - great hall with beds, chests and mirror and a portal to the hall of flames, thats it...?
the imp or the ladies are saying nothing more about the portals, only "usefull" is "remember, search mor stones" :(

edit: i hate it!, i read i missed the bloodstone in north luculla near the demons with the aura..ok, now i go to hit the stone, talk to the imp, and see the missed dragons(?) or what ever..idiot game, but i will end it

edit2: okaay, megafail!

after using a bloodstone >travel to homestead, end of the world >get a quest for opening the portals from the imp (if theres no reaction, tavel around and back, the imp will trigger than > with 12 inactive stones i can open the game over-door
what for a idiot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, thers no need ingame to use the homestead and thers NO hint why to use it, so it is confusing, once again idiot ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamedesign!!

When I encountered this, I was super frustrated at first. For I didn't have all the stones. The idea of having to go back through the game to track them down was not something I was looking forward to at all.

But I read through some of the threads on this and learned that you can attack the door. Magic seemed to do no damage at all. What?! Then some one said that it had to be a weaspon that had to have Tenebrium in it. So then I tried using my hardest hitting 2 handed melee weapon. WInd up swing and hit, and damage! Repeat. Oh my god this is so darn slow!

For the heck of it I tried a character with a crossbow with Tenebrium and it can fire as fast as you can hit the mouse button. Double taping my mouse button, with 2 fingers, like it was the Track and Field aracade game really sped things up. But I had to repair after so many hits. Luckily it only took about 4-5 minutes - thankfully - to bash down that door.

If you destroy the door without opening enough of the portals in the homestead it can cause a blocking problem later.

LOL, i guess you were in a hurry to finish? Why wouldnt you want to track down all the stones? It has been my observation that whenever you get a bloodstone, USE it, and after opening new portal in homestead , go back IMMEDIATELY to retrive the used stone. Rinse and repeat if you have multiple bloodstones.

Oh really? Good to know. Thankfully I was able to finish the game without any further issue.

Yes, I was at that point in a hurry to finish the game this weekend. I had logged about 130/140 hours up to this point in the game, from several marathon gaming sessions since the holidays in Decemeber. I think I had unlocked about 5-6 portals in Homestead, and had about 6 more Bloodstones that I had not used on me. Replaying many battles took up a large amount of that time. Exploiring and doing many of the side quests also did.

I had the happy problem of wanting to play several other games I got on Steam recently. But I really wanted to complete this one before moving on to those. Overall I really enjoyied playing this game. Even if I got impatient with it towards the end. I definately got my moneys worth from all the hours I got from playing it.

I made the same mistake on my first playthru and im sure many others have also! :)
