Walter McWishing Well Quest (bug?)

I've finished this quest line, teleported his brother *somewhere*. He promised to grant me a wish after I've paid him some gold (which I didn't have on the character that spoke to him). He said here's your reward and nothing happened.... Cannot pay him again :( Anybody found a solution? What was this "reward"?

Walter should be somewhere in the fiery part of Cyseal...yes, not the most comfortable retirement place but atleast he won't have cold feet, anyway we are working on that!

bumping this as it seems that walter is still not giving out a reward for your money, well he isnt for me :s, any response would be appretiated, even if its from soneone who actually recieved something

I've done this several times, only once did i seemingly get nothing, so i reloaded and did it again, and paid my gold...and all he gave me...was a bar of soap, lol. rewards just appear in your inventory with no message. so, when he gives nothing he might be giving something stackable and pathetic like resistance potions or something (and when i got the soap i paid the 2nd lowest, wanted to test em all out)
