Elixir of Courage/Filter of the Fearless Imp.

Maradino's recipe calls for apple/pumpkin for an elixir of courage. When i make it, it becomes a Filter of the the Fearless Imp. The problem is, this item does not interact with the Imp via dialogue, dropping it on him, etc. You also cannot "use" it. This makes it so the quest is unable to be completed.

Yes it is the right potion.

This is how I did did it: I found his master that lies hurt close to the Spider Queen. You should hear him yell, talk to him and then return to the imp. If you tell him he should be free and not return to his master you also get the option to give him the Elixir of Courage.(these options also gives you almost twice the xp than if you told him to return to his master!). Further than this I haven't got, if it even is more to this one which I doubt.

Thanks. Another quest that is not completable because i came from the Spider queen and Frederick got himself killed when he got into my fight. Hah.

Yeah the same happened to me, luckily he didn't die. Guess you can't complete the quest then unless you reload. But I guess you progressed too much to wanting to reload :P

Im necoring this because I was looking for an answer myself. And on the second try I realised, that you have to actually take the scroll. When you grab the scroll the quest updates but it doesn't if you just read it and leave it on the table.
After that make the elixir and a dialog option opens with Yox.

Probably 3 years too late for you to care, but I just had this same issue. I just saved right in front of Yox. When I reloaded the game, speaking to him provided me with the quest dialogue.
