Alt button not working

Hello! I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the Alt key is no longer functioning. I looked in the controls section, but I did not even see the highlight option available anymore.

im having the same issue i compared my control menu with my friends and we have two different sets of options, mines missing alot of keybind options including alt and toggle chat

Can you please try verifying steam cache?

If this does not address your problem, could you send us a report.zip from our support tool?

I was able to fix the issue. Before the last update, I changed the highlight option from Alt to R, but the last update included a new option using the R key, so the two were overlapping. I just reset my controls to the default setting and reassigned the highlight option to the P key. Thank you for the help!

mine doesnt even have the options anymore, its like the keybinds are just missing from the menu

The Alt key has suddenly stopped working for me as well. This is across all saved games. Verified game cache, did not help.

I'm in the same boat. Alt key no longer works since patch even though it worked fine before and I can't even find the hot button option to key it anymore in menu. I verified game cache and it didn't help.

OK, I fixed it by setting keyboard controls back to default and just remapping the ones I had set before.

In my case it seemed to be location-based. Once I left the the White Witch Cabin tunnels it just worked again.

Was this ever resolved because now my Alt key is acting as a targeting key and there is no "highlight object" (or similar) keybind in my options that I can see (unless it's called something strange, but I set the keybinds to default and Alt continues to behave this way).

Oh it's the X key on linux, never mind.
