rain spell scroll
I see. I never found that so yeah. I assume its in a crate or something prior.
... No wait... I used the fireball to put the NPC's out of their misery.
LOL that's why I love this game for stuff like that
There are lots of possible answers. But you probably picked up quite a few scrolls of a particular type that could provide an environmental answer against fire. Furthermore, I believe there are also parts of the surrounding area that you may be able to interact with.
Hint: It has to do with weather.
Was this really needed?
Dude I found like 3 or 4 of those rain spell scrolls before I even got to that burning ship...if you are looking around and taking your time then you'll have no problem finding things like that so just stay on the look out and explore! :)
I read this as genuine concern, not condecension (although it is that a bit as well, lol). It's true, this quest (like the tutorial) is meant to get you thinking in a certain way to help you deal with the flexibility and creativeness the game offers. If you miss that lesson it can mean problems later on.
Are you sure you can use a water barrel ? I tried but my character always says the ship is too far to throw the barrel at it.
