Please explain price discrepancy! ($15 in Russia, $55 in Europe)
Price of the game according to http://www.steamprices.com/us/app/230230/divinity-original-sin :

US: $40
UK: 30 Pounds ($50)
EU: 40 Euros ($55)
RU: 500py6 ($15)
Brazil: R$70 ($30)

There you go. Price in Euro is 3.67 times (almost 4 times) as much as in Russian Rubles.

Stop a tantrum. Gabe knows better what to do. Steam sales in Russia - the third in the world.

Um, this is nothing new or special, games in different parts of the world cost different amounts because of what people can actually pay and taxes. Brazil for instance has some hilarious taxes on the PS4 that makes it cost something like 1800$+.

All games on steam are priced this way, by regional tiers. Not every region can afford the same amount on a video game, and they wuold rather sell it for less than get no sales at all.

I'm guessing you meant that the russian steam sales were the 3rd largest in the world?

Russia will already be cheaper, sorry that's just the way it is, it is to prevent piracy if I am not mistaken. I am afraid prices are just different in different regions. Eu is always more expensive, just the way it is.

Also, it is usually a *norm* for game prices to be 1/4th to 1/3rd (25-33%) cheaper in Russia. But this is MORE THAN 60%. Almost a sick joke.

in france\germany or any other europe country worker can have ~2000 euros or more for his work, the same worker in russia works for 25000 rubles. 2k euro almost 100k rubles.

What makes Russians special? From what I know, Russia still is the second largest pirateer of games (after China, but China is a special case cause lots of stuff is blocked by the govt).

Did Putin threaten GabeN or something?

Russia always have them alot cheaper but 80% of the game bought with the cheap russian price are regionlocked and cant be used/installed outside russia. in my opinion larian should do the same :P

He can take his game and put it up his ass, I wont buy this game now even if it goes on a 99% sale.

Nah, not 80 percent. Probably 20 or less. Most indie games don't have any locks. I hope it stays that way. Also this encourages more people to buy the game.

Some AAA tiles are region locked, the overwhelming majority of games is not

That doesn't seem right... Americans always pay roughly $5-$10 more than the UK equivelent (usualy roughly $10 extra on AAA and $5 on most indie games), higher taxes I think? But £30 = $50? The pound is strong but even through the weird gaming pricing system it ain't that good.

From memory I read something about Russia getting cheaper games because I think their average salary is much lower and their government doesn't tax games to stupid ammounts (Check out the prices of games in Australia *Whistles*). Europe pays more as they have to stick to EU regulations of tax rates and that half the EU has crashed hard bringing the value of the Euro down low.

Or maybe it's businesses taking the mick, take your pick.
