Similar to Divinity II or Divine Divinity?
Divinity II was an incredible RPG, probably one of my favorite RPG's within the past 10 years or so. I didn't play Divine Divinity when it was originally released, I tried it about 2 years ago, but it was too dated for me to keep my attention unfortunately.

Is this similar to Divine Divinity / Baldurs Gate or more like Divinity II / Gothic?

More like the 1st divine divinity. This is more what they wanted to do with DivDiv but couldnt due to lack of time and money.

Divine Divinity but turn-based and coop.

the great inspiration for this game is Ultima VII as the Larian boss said repeatedly. Compared to the previous Divinity games D:OS is closer to Divinity 1 than Divinity 2 (while ignoring Beyond Divinity between those two)

Divine Divinty was a gorgeous game.. Exactly what is dated about it, besides lacking proper widescreen support, and maybe some OS specific bugs for later versions of windows?

Divine Divinity and Divinity II had essentially the same base gameplay mechanics. The game worlds were marginally different, the story was different, and rendering was done in quasi-3D, but that's about the only major differences.. They were so similar it was the only reason I tolerated Divinity II's crappy story and entirely too slowly paced "almost complete lack of plot-advancing" narrative.

Doesn't really make sense to compare them like that

Are you thinking of Divinity 2 or Beyond Divinity, I mean Divinity 2 was a third person ARPG, mechanics were completely different and if you didn't know that Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 were in the same universe you never could tell, and would be looking for Divinity 1 out there somewhere.

There is widescreen support for Divine Divinity.I run it on a 2560 x1440 screen

http://www.wsgf.org/dr/divine-divinity for old disk versions.

But if you buy the anthology version or digital version now it comes with the 1.5 patch that includes widescreen support.

I would say that it's like Divine Divinity, but with grafic improvement, lot of exploraton, story complexity and Larian humor. I like what i seen in alpha, and now waiting for final version :)
