SOLUTIONS and WORKAROUNDS

1. Firewall/network issues prevent the game from staring after pressing New Game: reported - solution
2. Broken startup feedback window with no buttons to start the game: reported - solution
3. Security/AV Software issue: game does not start, Steam keeps updating missing game files: reported - solution
4. Unable to save game even after 1.0.95.0 patch, copy to levelcache error: solution[www.larian.com] -- read before using[www.larian.com]
5. Win32 issue: game crashes/freezes after pressing New Game: solution (there has since been an official fix)

P.S. Keep in mind that these are unofficial solutions for some bugs.

My game crashes any time I level up. I have tried separating characters, which works. However, I am at the place where the game is basically unplayable. I do not have enough quests to level up, and the battle that I have to fight will level my characters. After losing multiple times, I finally beat it...only to immediately have my game crash. I am running a 64 bit OS, and have 4gb ram. My graphics are at the lowest possibe settings, and I close as many non-essential programs as possible. I guess I will be waiting until the next patch before playing any more. Very disappointed, as my laptop is less than a year old. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an MSI GT70 laptop and I don't believe that the game is using my primary video card. It seems to be using the integrated intel card, even though, in the nVidia Panel, I told it to use the card. This has been a problem with several other games, and appears to be a problem with this one too. Does anyone have any suggestions? Specs Below:

For anyone having the issue I described in 1914, if you add +dx11 to the launch properties (right click the game title in the library, go to properties, click launch options, type +dx11 in the text field), it works like a charm. HUGE difference.

Hi. I have a repeating problem with PC crash during character creation (single-player). I can't even start a game;) I did all I could (I guess):

1. Checked local files on Steam (everything is ok)
2. Updated all drivers
3. I've downloaded Larian's tool to check if everything is ok and it looks like it is (there's however notion that tests failed on Visual C - not sure how to respond on that... )
4. My specs meet at minimum requirements (also Larian's tool confirmed it).

And there's nothing I can do? Help anyone?

Always crash in the Garden, by call restore the soul connection. Click after this on End Button and always crash the Game.....that sucks...fix it!!!!

Go to the following folder In your Steam-folder (for me: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2008) you find the files vcredist_x64.exe and vcredist_x86.exe. Start the x64 version if you have 64bit OS. Otherwise use the x86 version.

Another bug, when I ressurect the men (Principal Character) he come back without animation and we just see the item on him, not the texture.

I have a problem where I can't talk to any of the goblins around the totem in the goblin village. I could before I talked to the totem and now I can't. I can still talk to the grunts in the village but no the four named goblins.
Strangely though, if I try and steal from the basket next to one of them I get a dialogue box and I can trade but that's it

Zombie is now broken in the new update. My poison resistance on my zombie character who has +25% from gear as well is only at 80%
