Romance Options
I heard that this game is like Baldur's Gate and was wondering if it had any romance options?

It does not.

From what I've played so far it seems that relationships with recruitable NPCs are next to nothing especially compared to the rich conversations and interjections of BG/BG2. If you are thinking about buying I would play for the fun battles because the story and characters are pretty weak.

I've played up to around level 10 then started over and back at the same place.

The game has no romance options. Also it's not like BG ;) It is more like Ultima

There is a lot of butt kissing between the main characters, to the point where you want to make them get a room (you can luckily turn it off in the options). So, yeah.. there kinda are. Just no bioware sex scenes, if that is what you are hoping for.

One thing bioware games teach us is that sexual harassment at workplace is OK. And it you are persistent enough you will get what you want. So don't give up keep sexually harassing your employees.

The character development and relationships in this game is at a pretty stark minimal. No, no relationships.

You can make your characters be fond of each other, and it will effect their stats based on what they say, but that's about it.

Not really, Bioware games mostly teach you if you say the right things, you can end up being with them romantically, kinda like the real world.

Usually most of the romantic NPC's get close to you personally, then eventuall open the door for either sex, romance, or just friendship.
