There are are some general engine optimizations and changes being made which may help this issue in the process, or should at least make it easier to track down. The latest Kickstarter update video describes these briefly.
No amount of vsync/triple buffer/nvidia panel vsync settings changed anything unfortunately.
First follow the steps explained:
http://steamcommunity.com/app/230230/discussions/0/45350244969459495/?l=spanish
After entering the settings on your graphics card and program settings for the game, enable the following functions:
Power Control: Maximum Performance
Maximum number of frames previously represented: 4
Optimization linked: On.
FPS Booster also download the program:

With these steps I have managed to reduce the drop in fps largely used to spend 60 to 40 and then to 20, until it becomes unplayable, following described before, the drop remains at 50-55 fps, turning the slightest problem although I really hope that is fixed in a future patch.
Well that's it for me, excuse my English, I'm Latino.
I hope it will help.
Update 01/02/2015
This solution stops working after last patch, only hope that Larian resolve this.
