Can you charge an inert stone to make it a bloodstone??

I screwed up my bloodstones. I have a bunch of inert stones but still several portals to open. Any way to charge the inert stones to make them bloodstones?? thanks everyone!!

Bloodstones can't be recharged once used. Using them depletes the blood-power, so they become ordinary star-stones again, at which point the main characters absorb their power. Inert stones are the empty remnants and don't have any more use.

However, there are enough bloodstones and starstones available in the game to open every portal with some left over.
