Tormented Soul
Finally after leveling up my crafter I was able to encahnt weapons and armor. Tomrented souls ended up giving me 1 str and 1 dex to my weapon. I didn't save it because I have other plans so got some crafting questions.

1) How rare is tormented soul? So far I ahve found one and I am not sure where from.

2) Whats the best armor to use it on? The one I have is pretty sweet but should I wait for a unique armor (orange)?

3) What does void essence do?

4) are the effects of Tormented soul same for armor? Is it random? Are there better use for it than crafting? Any unique or powerful weapon recepies?

5) What is the best armor for a fighter? Is it via crafting or loot drops?

6) Are there more items like Tormented soul that grants boosts to attributes?

7) Is Old Sabre a 2H or 1H weapon?

Before any smartasses refer that link to me, most of my questions are based on whats not there. I am trying to get the condensed version from google drive. But yeah anwers would be helpful.

1) I usually find 2 or 3 tormented souls in a play through the game.

2) Expect to wear any armor you have for 3 or maybe 4 levels at most. End game is level 20. Plan accordingly.

3) Adds +sneaking to armor pieces

4) Yes always same bonus. 2 unique weapon recepies: Buffalo Amulet + Old Sabre = Buffalo Sabre and Bottle of Swirling Mud + Fiery Heart = Sword of Planets

I always make a Sword of Planets for my 1-handed melee char. Actually I usually make 2 of them. 1 at level 12 then another at level 16. They scale in damage to your level when you craft them.

5) Loot drop Legendary then boosted with a Ruby is usually best.

6) Adding a Sextant to a Bow or Crossbow will give it +perception and +dex

You can see all crafting recepies here: http://www.larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=511613

Yeah I was referring to this guide. There is a condensed version taht doesn't quite talk about unique enchantments. So the list doesn't quite set out to explain if certain weapons re good for my 2hander. like the Buffalo Sabre weapon.

Is buffalo amulet a unique item thats dropped in a certain quest? Or is it created? No recipies listed.

Where do I find ancient human skulls?

Can you stack more than 1 tormented soul item in a single armor/weapon?

Can you create Orange armor or Weapons? Is there a CR limit involved and how many enchantments can I put on a weapon?

Thanks for the prompt reply btw. I picked up a whole bunch of random stuff earlier and forgot about them stored in a backpack. So I got some great possibilties.

Buffalo Amulet is a unique item, random drop. Buffalo Sabre and Sword of Planets are both 1-handed.

You can find named unique 2-handers as random loot drops, but can't craft any.

Ancient Human Skulls? Never heard of it.

Any item you combine with a weapon or armor can only be done once on that item.

You cannot make an Orange quality item. But you can enhance them.

For example, if you find a 2-handed sword that has Base Damage plus fire damage, you could:

With Blacksmithing 5 combine it with a Whetstone to sharpen it giving a big increase to the base physical damage. Blacksmithing 2 gives a smaller bonus.
Then add a Fire Essence to increase the fire damage on the weapon. If you use a different type of Essence that does not match the current elemental damage type on the weapon it will change it to that elemental type instead of adding.
Then you can add a Tormented Soul for the +str +dex bonus

I was hoping to add tormented soul to my armor. Is there any special 2H swords that can be created in this game? Seeing as how above mentioned swords are 1 handed?

Thanks for the crafting advice. SO basically you are saying I should refrain from adding multiple elemental damages to a weapon instead of boosting its base element? I was wondering why none of the status effects ever take when I hit now I know. thanks for that.
