There have been a couple reports of people starting off at a higher level after playing one game, and then starting a new game, but I have not seen anyone just have a sudden level jump.
Nah he's not. I know him in RL and we bouth just started together. He experienced it as well.
I really wish I had taken a screenshot of it now. When the glitches occured neither of us had left the game/rejoined, though we were walking around town separately.
To provide more detail, the first time this happened was after entering the first town and standing near the burning ship. I decided to spend the ability point I still had from leveling up and as soon as I did my points in both fields jumped up to 99.
The second time with the item duplications I was talking to remaining sheep in the paddock of the guy who lost his herd and then went and told the cow I was going to milk it. As soon as I milked the cow I got a message saying I can't move. I was suddenly level 32 and holding 99 candles, 99 health pots etc...
We ran around town for a while after resetting the save once more and haven't experienced another similar glitch yet. I'll try and get some screenshots if it does happen again.
