Weird glitches - Duped items, extra levels for no reason

Just started playing this tonight in co-op and we've hit a few weird glitches.

First of all I suddenly had 99 stat points even though I was level 2. We went back a save point and progressed without that happening again.,

Later on I couldnt move and I realised my stackable inventory items had duplicated themselves to 99 of each one and my level was set at 32 with the stats of a level 2 character.

Any ideas what's going on?

your host is cheating... pretty much the only way this can happen

If you left the game, would the host see the extra stat points, etc, when getting control of the character back?

There have been a couple reports of people starting off at a higher level after playing one game, and then starting a new game, but I have not seen anyone just have a sudden level jump.

Nah he's not. I know him in RL and we bouth just started together. He experienced it as well.

I really wish I had taken a screenshot of it now. When the glitches occured neither of us had left the game/rejoined, though we were walking around town separately.

To provide more detail,the first time this happened was after entering the first town and standing near the burning ship. I decided to spend the ability point I still had from leveling up and as soon as I did my points in both fields jumped up to 99.

The second time with the item duplications I was talking to remaining sheep in the paddock of the guy who lost his herd and then went and told the cow I was going to milk it. As soon as I milked the cow I got a message saying I can't move. I was suddenly level 32 and holding 99 candles, 99 health pots etc...

We ran around town for a while after resetting the save once more and haven't experienced another similar glitch yet. I'll try and get some screenshots if it does happen again.
