No. You need to use an existing campfire, like the one near the gate behind the King Crab.

Then, unfortunately, it appears that you cannot upgrade leather equipment. The mobile kitchen *must* be in your inventory to work, and so far I have not been able to move a single mobile kitchen to my inventory.

There is a lot of chatter about a bug in the mobile kitchen. Has anyone found a specific, proven way to move it to your inventory?

Thanks in advance.

Odd, I've had no problems dragging items onto a mobile kitchen. It works just like dragging ore into a furnace. Though I haven't tried leather.

I've seen two different behaviors with crafting the mobile kitchen. One is the pot becomes a mobile kitchen in the world. The other behavior is it places the item in your inventory.

In my game, the campfire that I picked up in this way was at the entrance to Silverglen. Though other campfires did it as well, and I didn't realize what was happening (thought it was a bug). If you try to make a mobile kitchen and the fire disappears, you have it in your inventory now (just looks like the pot you used).

My party just made it to Hiberheim, and there was a snuffed out fire by the purple flag (just after the wolf fight). I lit the fire, added a cookpot to it, and the mobile kitchen magically appeared in my inventory. I did the exact same thing in other places, and it did not work. I have no idea what the secret is (or if there is a secret).

Yea, if it's not a bug, it's sure not obvious why it's so inconsistent. :(
