how do i get past the stunning lighting trap?

i know it says in the hint drop an item on it but there doesnt seem to be anything that my character can pick up ? am in the cave/dungeon past the first fight with the wizard who summons the undead and runs away

Do you have a mele hero? If you are running 2 low strenght heroes chances are you won't be able to lift anything.
Anyway, pick up some barrels/pottery and drop 'em on top of the trap

You can use other props. Like if you have an ice elemental, you could use its ice wall. Or drop an item on it, use your imagination. The developers really made this game quite wide with posibilities to solve things.

when i try to drop an item on it the character is stuned and is stuck there so i cant drop an item on it, how do you throw an item ?

To throw something just drag it farther away from your character. Like someone else said though it depends on your strength.

note, most items that you can search, i.e. crates, barrels, you can move them by dragging them by holding the mouse button. its better to use a wizzard type because they have telekenisis so they can move it by range.

Telekinesis is the other option besides strength to move heavy stuff...
