Repairing the tapestry?

I don't know how to complete this quest, it may be bugged because there's this waypoint portal in the observatory i can't use. But I also can't leave this area! Help please

That quest can't be completed in the alpha. The bug is that the waypoint portal apparently doesn't work. I wish I could help.

If you are stuck you should be able to get the exit waypoint activated by killing Zixzax (at least that was the case before today's update). If you use a scroll to resurrect him after that he will only talk to you again in cutscene conversations (like the next time you return to the homestead) or if you click on him with a weapon drawn (to tell you to sheath it).

How can you kill Zixzax? He oneshots me with 500dmg fireballs

He can be killed without triggering a fight if you teleport him repeatedly. Flare cast near him will not do splash damage, but if you teleport him onto the fire surface he can sometimes catch on fire, which will do additional damage (it will still take a while, though).
If you have Jahan in your group, or someone else can summon an ice elemental, its Ice Wall spell will not trigger a hostile reaction, but it also doesn't do much damage.

For some reason it actually worked today in my singleplayer game and I could simply continue adventuring. Maybe it has something to do with multiplayer that triggers it?
