knight + fighter, double lone wolf viable+ideas?
Any idea's to make this work? =)
a two-handed lone wolf knight and a one-handed+shield fighter

Raze already mentioned i really need bodybuilding and willpower on both (and a bit of blacksmithing, i think that will go to the knight as he is "more" of the support)

would i really need leech? and maybe something else i forgot now? I would hate it that i would have to restart in the middle because i forgot some essentials ...

thanks already!

You will restart game, no doubt. 2 close fight heroes with "lone wolf" talent is suicide.

any reason to why you say this?

Two heroes with Lone Wolf is the game's Hard Mode. Limiting yourself to two melee characters is doubly difficult because they will have so much trouble controlling the battlefield, and some enemies are good at kiting or disabling a melee fighter who doesn't have a ranger or mage to back him up. Man At Arms offers potent abilities but they don't cover the range of roles you'll need simply to cope with what the game will throw at you, especially with only two characters filling more or less the same role in and out of combat.

I strongly recommend you look into one of the Dual Lone Wolf guides out there, like this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43Hj_13-D74

If you're going to play two lone wolves you will absolutely be making sacrifices, and you need to know which sacrifices will help vs hurt you.

If you want two melee strength fighters, I recommend maximizing resistances and possibly block chance (full plate armor enhanced with rubies to maximize your resist, and splash with either a resist-heavy shield or the Weather the Storm talent). Crafting+Blacksmithing is a must to have the gear you need. Zombie won't be a bad choice here, as it eliminates poison as a threat (and your armor will get fire/water/air/earth up to 80), and Zombie often makes healing very easy (at least it does with my mage+fighter combo... not sure two fighters can do it as well).

You absolutely need to dabble into either dexterity or intelligence roles, probably one for each hero (one hero is Str+Dex, another is Str+Int). The reason is you need the versatility of those skills, particularly for the utility skills like Purifying Fire, Bless, etc. Splashing into dex or int won't allow you to use Int/Dex attacks very well at all, so forget most of those and focus on support spells, summons, and healing (e.g. acid dart/arrow for zombies; otherwise the water spells).

To be clear, a far better choice would be to change one hero to a dedicated Dex/Int master, and maybe have them dabble in Str. The melee strength character then gets to compliment his abilities with a Ranger+Rogue or Mage partner who can make him far more potent and cover his weaknesses (and he can cover theirs). You need that synergy.

So you *may* be able to make dual Lone Wolf Str fighters work (if you're up for a major challenge), but it's a far better idea to switch one hero to another role. You really cannot afford to duplicate roles the way you could in a 3- or 4-hero game.

It certainly can be done. My 2nd run through the game was 2 lone wolves both doing all damage with melee.

However I did get 10 int on both and 1 point in each magic skill for buffs and support spells. I didn't use any damage spells.

The hardest thing is when one of them gets cc'd. That's why you need to max out bodybuilding and willpower, and get more from + on your gear as well. Having half your team taken out by 1 cc is tough to deal with.

My other piece of advice is buy every single shield scroll you see (fire/cold/earth/water). They are life savers in the tougher fights.

BTW, what is cc'd? I see that abbreviation a lot.

Also after reading a lot of stuff i realised double melee might be a bit too hard ... So i'm going (still going double lone wolf! because ♥♥♥♥ 4 man party :D) with fighter (1h/shield) and a witch

Witches are fantastic friends to fighters, so that should work very well. Dabble in the other spell schools for 1 or 2 skill levels though, as they add so much useful stuff.

Enjoy!

yeah i noticed witchcraft is pretty op .. and with some skills in the others eventually i can buff the fighter like mad =)

Thanks for all the info btw
