Whetstone and repair hammer
1. do repair hammers break or wear out? In other words, can I sell all but one of them and be safe?

2. Where do you find whetstone? I either lost it, dropped it, restored a save from before finding it, or who knows, but I no longer have one. Does anyone sell them?

Thank you

I recall picking up a whetstone somewhere towards the start of the game. I don't recall if anyone sells one, though.

As for the repair hammer, I've only made use of it a few times - it doesn't appear to have any kind of use limit on them. I carry 2, just to be safe because you never know.

Repair hammers don't wear out.

Whetstones are extremely rare but they have the same effect as using whetstone wheels found throughout the game world, so the lack of them doesn't matter much.

There is a whetstone wheel in Cyseal behind the abandoned house, and another one in Silverglen between the Blacksmith and the Inn

Thank you , I didn't realize the "whetstone" wheel and the inventory "whetstone" perform same function.
It's misleading because if you click a whetstone wheel, the PC says something like, "hmm, if I only had a whetstone" which made me think I needed both.
But I learned later from trial/error that I could drag metal weapons to the wheel and have them improved.

To be honest, I didn't even know there is a whetstone item and Ive played this game for 100+ hours.
