Wolfgraff, i forget where exactly but in the undead fighting area section not far from town, there is an unground well with a mini dungeon. He is the first thing you see at the bottom of the well.
If you started this game before the companion DLC was released (mid September), they would not have been added.
Same goes for a ranger.
That makes sense to me - I did not think about that - I did start before the DLC. I currently have 4 in my party, can I add a 5th at this point? I am stuck at Braccus Rex and I was looking to add a 5th member as a meat shield/distration.
Thank you for the reply!
Summons are good as meat shields and distractions, though. Each character can have one summon active at a time, if they use scrolls or learn an appropriate summon spell.
It's interesting to think that your party could have up to 8 characters in a single battle -- 4 characters and 4 summons... Though summons are delicate and temporal, and don't work anywhere near as well as your normal characters, they're still really useful.
Even better than a summon though? By possibly an order of magnitude? A charmed enemy. Suddenly your 4 vs 4 battle (for example) becomes 5 vs 3, and the charmed target is in the middle of the foes so he draws most of the attacks. And if you charm a foe at the front of the turn order, he will get an attack in before dying horribly. And if has the charm skill too, he might use it to charm yet another enemy!
Plus if you hold CTRL to attack the charmed enemy, that doesn't break the charm, so you can still kill him or weaken him. The big advantage of a ranger with a level or two in scoundrel is he has two charm skills he can use in rapid succession.
any ideas?
