In other words, it's to make starting the game a bit quicker. Probably.
For ex. I just picked a wizard (air+water) cause I am not too sure how a battlemage might look like later, witch seem evil so no, and enchanter....no idea about that one at all.
Wizard
This uses Fire and Earth (Poison) in combination to to create fire fields and explosions. This is your basic blaster mage, focusing on raw damage.
Witch
This uses Earth and Witchcraft, and acts as a buffer/debuffer, supporting your other characters and obstructing the enemies.
Enchanter
This uses Air and Water, and is focused around controlling the battlefield, by moving enemies around with Teleport, and comboing air and water to stun and freeze enemies.
Battlemage
This uses Fire and Man-At-Arms. Unlike the others, this is less of a wizard, and more of a melee fighter that also uses magic.
