How do I dismiss a companion?
I've been searching for about an hour. How do I dismiss a companion from my party?

Just click on him (start a dialogue). One dialogue option let him go away.

Does he go back to where you found him originally, or does he get mad and leave permanently? (I've not bought the game; just asking for future reference.)

He will go to the hall of heros at the Shelter Plane (your homestead). There you can hire him again. He won't be mad and he won't leave permanently. ;)

He is sent to the Hall of Heroes, where you can recruit him again at a later time if you wish.

Yeah, but why is it not possible to dismiss the 2nd main character? That I have to stick at least to ONE character is clear, but why to the 2nd non-used-coop-main-character? I hate it. I have Scarlett and she is the damn weakest team member of all times. I want to replace her with a sorcerer Jahan, but there is no option to talk to her and say: ♥♥♥♥ off! -.-
