Spoilers? - Look for the nearby key in the Tutorial dungeon

This time through, I ran my mouse over everything. I tried turning off all the candles. I split my group to see if something changed. Looked in every vase, crate, barrel, bones, and chest I could find. Nada.

It's the second (?) chest you see in the tutorial dungeon, that says 'look for a nearby key'.

Anyone know where that key is? I don't care about the loot, because it's probably 13 gold and an arrow shaft, but I want to know what to look out for in the future. In later dungeons, I might find something if I knew where that key was hidden, and knew what to hover over with my mouse.

it's been awhile but isn't it under the box or something that you need a strength check for? I know my mage couldn't lift it but maybe another build can?

You can use lockpicks and/or keys or destroy the container/door (loosing weapon durability).
Hold ALT to see items
Put the lockpick in your hotbar and use it like a skill on locked containter and doors

Move the vase that is next to the chest. The key is under it.

Yeah I broke it in 2 hits and then seen a key sitting there labeled tomb chest key, I assume that belongs to the chest I just busted.

Ah, so you can find things by moving vases, etc?

Didn't realize things could be under them that I couldn't see or ALT see. Thx for the tip.

The Tomb Key is actually for the big door south of that. That door can be opened with either that key or the level behind the barrels nearby.
