Any way to always have items on the ground highlighted?
I dont like always having to press ALT to show ground items.. Is there an option to always display things on the ground?

This isn't Diablo, the screen isn't littered with items.

Yea its kind of annoying

Doesnt have to be diablo... just give me a reason not to have to spam the alt button

I don't know if they "fixed" it, but in the beta you could hold alt -> open the map -> Release alt -> close map. It's stupid, but that's how I got it to work.

I guess if you were out of combat, and loot had fallen, having it ALT-up automatically for about 5 seconds would be good, just so it's a bit obvious. However, having it on all the time wouldn't work because it kind of kills the exploration of areas. You need to make a conscious effort in checking for things laying around.

Just my 2¢. I definitely understand where you're coming from though, it's one of those things we've grown accustomed to expecting in these types of (gross generalizations abound) games.

That's why the OP asked for an option and I agree with him.

Alt button doesn't show you everything that you can pick up either btw... intentionally so. If you want to use the crutch of the alt button you will lose out on some items. The alt button is based off your percention score. The higher it is, the more you'll see with ALT.

Seems to have been fixed.

Yes, increase your perception.

That doesn't really address the ops request to have "ground items" always shown, like when you press ALT. It's not an unreasonable request or expectation since ALT is already in the game.

I would rather see ALT as a toggle for this type of feature.

I know this is late asf. But to the guys saying "This isn't diablo" or "it would kill exploration." If you use a controller you can toggle it on and off, so therefore controllers kill this game. .-.

I just bind the Alt key to one of my mouse thumb buttons and just hold it while playing.

Seems to have been fixed.

switching to the map did not work for me.
But what did is:
hold alt -> channel any spell -> cancel spell (rightclick) -> release alt > item highlighting remains

it does not seems to be 100% reliable though
(play around with switching to map and spell - this seems to glitch the highlighting out somehow)

hope that helps anyone
