Can you move faster?
I feel like an elderly snail.

I believe there's a perk to move faster

I'd like to move just a tad faster as well. Even without armor slowing me down, it feels like a crawl. And sometimes it's a bit tricky to find that "sweet spot" between Baby Crawling and Slightly Increased Pace when holding the mouse for movement.

Might need a vintage Final Fantasy VI Sprint Shoes mod.

If the movement was faster the game would feel smaller I guess. It's an artificial way of making the world seem large.

You can use CheatEngine speedhack to alter the process speed, so you can move faster. But be advised: the rest of the game will also move faster. it makes it kinda hard to click on those damn little fast mice. It's essentialy time-compression. Another big advantage is that is makes the turns much faster.

Do snails move slower as they age? Is there any evidence to support your premise? Just kidding...it will suck even more tomorrow waiting for the afternoon (for me).

I remember playing Icewind Dale for days on end back in the day. The back-tracking got so aggravating that I figured out how to enable the console cheats, and would always "jump" the party back and forth across areas I'd been through before, just to save time and get back to the good stuff.

It's not SO bad here, at least from what little I've seen so far, but at the least, speeding up the enhtire game could fix things. I'll see what Cheatengine does if I can figure it out tomorrow.

Putting points into Speed (or getting gear/other bonuses to it) will increase your movement speed.

There is spells aswell make you running much faster for the record with a funny rainbow effect. Just use those running time to make some order in your invetory or read again your journal, it's not that terrible.

I think it's the combination of slow speed + the mouse movement for running that makes it seem a but tedious. Shame there isn't a key to toggle running(or is there?).

You can accelerate the game by using a software called "Cheat Engine" (google it).
Then in it you can activate the speedhack function and chose how much you want accelerate the game (also can bind the speed to a shortkey).

I'm using this when moving in town, this way you can travel veeeeeerrryyyyy fast.
Less than 10s from the harbor to the commandant house.
