Buffalo Amulet what is it for?

does anyone know? ive found two of them and i dont know what they do. ive tried wearing them, nothing happens...help?

I think that's a player created item from the Kickstarter.

If you have "pet pal" AND wear the buffalo amulet around noon time in the presence of some weresheep, they will ignore you totally (versus weresheeping you to total anihilation).

Pretty useless, because in this game "noon time" is not defined quite well.
But - all in all it really does not matter much because weresheeps are more conceptual creatures that are not in the game so far - you will find them mostly in the forum here.
Some kind of groupies, I guess :).

Where did you find it, random loot ? If so, that would be strange for player created item. And I don't think it is a quest item either then.

I found it twice in one playthrough as random barrel loot, and once in another as a drop from the twins joined by fire.

You can combine it with the unique saber you find near them to make a Buffalo Saber

... that's actually a serious answer despite the inherent comedy in the word buffalo.

the saber is quite real as i have combind the 2 items the one time i had them both.
