How do you cook??

I can combine ingredients in my inventory like making dough or pizza dough or apple pie dough.. but how do I actually COOK it?? I have tried putting it on fire on the ground, on a flaming brazier. I have even tried plopping down a pot or frying pan on a flame and then putting the dough on that cooking implement. I have also tried click the dough and putting it on the cooking pot or frying pan in my inventory, but that obviously doesn't work either.. how???

Use an oven or furnace. Off the top of my head, the most accessable one is near the mortician's house, over at the crafting area. It seems a bit wonky with the "out of range" message, so if you have a character with Telepathy that should help reach to put it in.

what use are the cooking pots and pans, then?

You can put the cooking pot on a campfire to make a Mobile Kitchen (currently not so mobile lol). I assume it will have the same function as the oven once it's working correctly.

You can however currently use the cooking pot for nice helmet if you use a Hammer on it, if you like that look. :P

As far as I know, yes.

I found you can use the oven in the cook's house, he's just north of the market. The oven has a red "warning" icon over it, but I was able to drag my dough into it and bake it without him saying a word.

yup, and you can also apparently use the forge in back of the old abandoned blacksmith's house in town.

You need to find an oven which is in the kitchen which is the war camp which is in the town =) Oven if for baking obvsl, and mobile kitchen is for other simple stuff.
