Are you going for release parity with the PS4 and Xbox 3 platforms? Or is there a chance the EE might hist Steam a little earlier than the console/retail release?

Thanks for the update, Raze.
I put off playing the game here last spring and became distracted by something and
never returned to play. When I heard about the expansion I have decided to avoid
enjoying the game until that expansion arrives. So it will be a long wait!

I just hope to heck Fallout 4 doesn't arrive before late October or I'll end up 'forgetting' to enjoy
what I paid for already.

Curses.

The plan is for a simultaneous release.

@Raze does that include Linux clients as we were promised at E3

I played original sin but never finished it, but i want to start over when EE comes out. I want to co-op it with a friend. So should i wait until EE is out and buy EE for him, or just buy them original sin now and wait until EE is out?

Yes.

If you are waiting for the EE, anyway, there isn't much reason to get D:OS.
Another option is to back D:OS 2 on Kickstarter and (in the applicable tier) get a copy of D:OS EE, as well.
More tiers and add-ons will likely be added during the Kickstarter.

@Raze If i get D:OS for my friend it comes with EE right? EE will be standalone, so cheaper?
Raze_Larian Aug 27, 2015 @ 11:03pm
Anyone who owns D:OS when the EE is released will get it for free (automatically added to their Steam or GOG library, depending on where they have the original).
AFAIK the EE will be the same price; it is a significantly expanded version of D:OS, not an add-on.

Amazon has a release date for the 27th of october for both PS4 and Xbox One version. Don't know for the PC version but I hope we'll get the update the same day.

Will D:OS 2 have the same improvements as EE?

I think it's going to have different improvements, it being a new game and all. ;) Or was there something specific you were thinking of?

Any idea what the exact time Steam will unlock the game next week for EST time zone people?
