Tornado spell doesn't do ANY damage at all - kinda ridiculous.
It just removes surface effects that's it.

- no falling damage (picking up not large opponents and dropping them down)
- no electrical damage (small lightnings striking from a tornado)
- no nothing

For a TORNADO spell (especially the way it is presented in the game , lightnings and stuff) + for a high level spell it is ridiculous.

I really wish Larian added damage to this spell.

It kills lava.

So what? It is very situational and generally you can do without it

TORNADO not doing ANY damage? Gimme a break.

They should have added at least a bit of damage..Say, fixed 20-30 points or something
It just plain silly..

I agree, I was disappointed too. Although clearing surfaces sounded useful, I just found it a waste of time, I was expecting it to do some sort of damage as well, it really is one of the lamest high level spells. Well that and Phoenix Dive, which claims it leaves a fire surface, but it doesn't.

Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the high level spells, I still find, generally, that the starting spells are the most useful, besides the ones that are obvious upgrades, i.e. piercing ice shard / small fireball over their predecessors.

I'd like the Tornado to do half the pickup and damage of the teleport spell on any enemy it passes over that fails the defense roll, that would make it feel cool to use, especially with multiple enemies in a group.

Im do not justify it, just saying its not completely useless. I was disappointed by it as well.

Well, by design, tornado's meant to clear up surfaces. They should have made it look like something different instead of a tornado which, logically, should dish out the pain to your enemies.

Tornado is very useful in removing lava, ice and other obsectles out of combat (and in combat too).
protobob Jul 14, 2014 @ 1:27pm
It's a very useful utility spell, I used it all the time.

Rain doesn't do any damage either, though admittedly has some combat uses. Though you can use a tornado defensively, cleaning up water etc. so that you won't be electricuted etc.

Rain is a low lvl skill, rain get ppl wet, create puddles and cover more area. And the biggest thing: the one is rain, and the other is a freakin tornado.

I use this spell all the time, it clears up things that rain can't. It also doesn't give me wet status which is important.
Great utility and allows you to go some places you couldn't otherwise and get rewarded for it.

Its. A. Tornado. It suppose to be devastating, not utility.
protobob Jul 14, 2014 @ 1:47pm
It's designed as utility, live with it.

Why are you applying realism to tornados and not to say fire elementals?

Since I find uses for it and am not upset by the spell, I guess I do get it, huh?
