Councillor's Wife Bugged ***Spoilers***

I'm certain I've somehow bugged this quest. I've already been past it twice, but this time something went wrong. I've done everything but can't progress.

I got everything from the Mortician. I got the dagger and book from Esmeralda's house and confronted her. I've dug up Jakes' corpse and found the sheep. I talked to Aureus. I didn't arrest her nor the mortician, though I did go through that dialog. Now there's no dialog left from the Mortician, Aureus, Esmeralda, Mayor, nor Evelyn. Evelyn is still in the healer's house and there's no going forward. Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: I think I may have broken something by sending a lot of stuff "to Homestead" by the inventory interface early in the game. I went back and got it all back and still I have no additional dialog or options avaialble.

Try taking some of esmerelda's clothing to jake to smell, see if that helps (assuming you have pet pal), that's how it moved for me. Did you search the murder scene?

Where's the letter from the duke? In the crime scene?

Did you get the inn chest key unlock the chest in the murder room, get duke ferrols letter and then confront her about that? Also if you stuck you can just bash down the door on her house (Crossbows can be used like machine guns outside of combat and make sort work of doors)

I don't have Pet Pal and I've already gotten everything from the murder scene and exhausted all dialog with the Duke and Esmeralda.

Esmerelda will point the finger at Evylyn at some point, either giver her some some free loot to raise her opinon of you or throw her in jail (that might motivate her to talk). You can do that by talking to Aureus and asking him to arrest her and then going to her store to see her get arrested. Then go talk to her in Jail.

Her attitude toward me is 100, still nothing.

Search Esmereldas shop, there is a bloddy knife and a letter to the duke to be found, when confronted with enough evidence she will blame Evelyn and then evelyn wont be at the healer shop

As I said above that's all done. I've been back over everythign a dozen times. It's just bugged. I guess I'm starting over or figuring out if there's a way to edit this save game. Lesson Learned: NEVER send any quest items to Homestead. I'm sure that's what caused this.

Try going to your homestead and clicking the take all button from both of your chests and see if you get any missing item. I know that if you send more items to your chest than it can normallyhold the items are still there you just have to take all to get them.
