Lockpicking and tenebrium weapon question
Heya all, i have some question.
Is lockpickng useless? i hear key are always near chest
Tenebrium weapon are crafted or can be find? because i hear that in the end only the tenebrium skill actually work to improve their damage.
Thank you all in advance

In my opinion, Lockpicking is not worthwhile.
- Scoundrel has a magic lock pick skill.
- You can smash open chests (at a small risk)
- I never needed items because I was rich (stole everything - no sneak or pickpocket)

Tenebrium - both. The T Skill does.

I disagree. It is very good on your best Melee damage character. I was only able to unlock the ability for one character :S

Most enemy level 15+ are immune to one ore more elements. This is also when you start to get T weapons which enemy are not immune to (so far for me up to level 19 enemy)

Crafted weapons can be much superior to tenebrium weapons, as they can also be boosted by tenebrium and sharpenned on a whetstone, so no, in the end of the game not only tenebrium skill matters.

It really depends on what weapons you find/craft.
In the endgame at level 21 I used a bow I crafted at level 19 which did max 200 regular damage and max 80 tenebrium damage and also had +3 to dex. much better to anything else I could find. so bow skill.

One of my fighters had an insane legendary tenebrium axe, so i did take tenebrium on him

The other fighter had a scythe that I sharpened and added tenebrium to, which was actually much stronger than the axe in terms of damage, and was the best weapon I had in general, so 2 handed skill on her

as soon as you did brandon's quest which involves getting tenebrium ore from troll cave, or got it from sacred stone village, and deliver it to brandon , everyone in party gets the tenebrium weapon skill, including i believe companions also

Thanks for the answers guys, anyway for a ranger, is better max out the craft on the mage companion right?

I feel lockpicking would've been worthwhile if they had made the lockpicks unlimited use, like the repair hammer and magnifying glass. Wouldn't hurt if they also added a bonus to the skill where you get a slightly better chance of finding better loot if you lockpick or a small XP bonus when opening locked doors. With the way it is now, not worth it.

max craft (and lore etc) according to equipment.
If you get good rings with dex which also have crafting, then ur ranger will be the crafter.
If you get good robes with intelligence which also have crafting, then ur mage will be the crafter :)

GENERALLY however it's better that your ranger be the crafter.
Why? because there is no equipment that increases character path skills (marksman/man at arms/hydrosophist etc), and while your ranger only needs to invest in marksman, the mage must invest in 2 mage trees to be effective, flexible, and to prevent cooldowns that render him useless in combat.
