by then you should be able to summon every type of elemental and also have elemental weapons..
Best is to summon 4 types of elementals and send them to kill the elemental tormented souls while your party tanks balberith, freezing/stunning/knocking him down as possible..

What I did was summon a spider (go after earth element tormented soul), air elemental and fire elemental for the ghosts, and used jahan to fire ice bolts at the water ghost while healing my tanks..

Thanks.

just out of curiosity, what is your party like?
By that fight I was about level 20 I think with nearly all skills and abilities,
tank/geomancer
ranger/crafting/sneak
tank/pyromancer (madora)
hydro/air mage (jahan)

Two ranged mages, two knights.

Had not much of a problem with my party consisting of
Knight
Ranger
Fire/Earth Mage
Water/Air Mage

Let Knight and Ranger deal with the souls whilst Mages kept Belberith busy.

letting knight and ranger deal with souls is kind of strange seeing how the souls have higher defence than balberith (I had like a 50% to hit on them with my fire elementals/spiders/etc), and the knight/ranger have to run around and probably don't do high elemental damage like the mages do, while the mages can just stay in place and elemental-bomb the souls from a distance without wasting AP.

Weird strategy

Souls are easily stunned with an electrified puddle or frozen with an ice shard, after that you send a fighter with bully to kill them while the mages help keep the demon under wraps

Same character setup as Angelo above, but i simply left warrior (Madora) on Belberith alone, just saving action points whole time and the odd party buff shout, while the rest of the party smashed the souls/summons. Knockdown Belberith after theyre dealt with and crush him with ease.

Outta curiosity, does anyone know if the Mystersterious Stranger NPC in the cage by him can be intereracted with or does anything? I just fireballed those 2 cages for loads of free experience but was wondering if i shoulda shown mercy for any reason?

As an option, while one character is conversing with Balberith, another can teleport him into one of the cages in the back. Finish the convo and watch him stand in the cage the entire fight

Hmm... round 1, my warrior knocked him down while the rest of my party cced the tormented spirits. Round 2, my warrior killed Belberith with Guerilla, Bully and OoD buffed two-handed axe attacks and the spirits vanished. That was it. Did the fight bug on me or something?

No, you just kicked his butt quickly. The spirits don't do anything except "feed" him and make him stronger. So, if you kill him quick enough thats great. However, you may lose the xp you get from them, as well as the xp from the additional guys he will summon(I think theres 3 different cyclops demons)~ But do know, I am not positive if you kill him alone if you get all the xp as if you've killed everyone or not, I'm just assuming you wouldn't. So dont miss out on xp!
