Post fight with Loic *spoilers*

So, I won the fight against loic, I then tried the chicken with the vial, got the vial of chicken blood, then tried to use the vial with the inert stone, and nothing happened, my chars saying that depleting the stone before might have rendered it obsolete. My question is, is there a way of actually making a blood stone? Or will this result always be the same?

I do not think you can make them. Using each one will open a new portal in your homestead. If you could make them at will it would not work as it does.

If you do not kill the chicken you still have to kill Loic.

Yeah, I ended up doing that... I was just wondering if that combo was supposed to do something different given different circumstances, or if it would always without fail, give me that dialogue about the stone being depleted and and that completing the ritual did nothing.

I'm asking this because I want to heal Alfie but I don't really want to use the only blood stone I have. If there was a way of getting a blood stone after this fight, it'd be an awesome boon.

Ok, it kinda sorted itself out, I went into the church basement and there were two more blood stones... So no big deal I guess.

Now my issue is another. The quest, The Initiation, seems like it got stuck because I attacked Loic before he was able to come back with his reinforcements (I reloaded and attacked him right after the conversation with him). Will this quest get updated while I proceed through the game, or should should I fight him "the fair way" for it to update?

if you steal his key beforehand, there're won't be any reinforcements, so they're completely optional
