gear no
only works if you know your coop mate though :>
Me and my friend have no problems when it comes to looting and we play different classes and even share money if needed. There is no race or competition involved at all, and the 'host' conttrols the save, so you can easily get back anything from 'player 2' messing up.
If he loots something he can't use, he sends it to me for selling or equipping if it's something my rogue can use. If I loot anything that could be interesting for him, I'll send it to him to take a look at.
It's not a competition, it's co-op. I might get all money but I buy all our skills and items anyway.
This isn't an MMO. Your CoOp partner is not some random guy competition. If you are playing with random people that rush to loot and don't play as a team, then that is your problem. Stop playing with random people or MMO buddies. Play the game with someone who actually wants to play the game as a team.
Certainly that will work, but his main problem is with the people he plays with. He needs to just play with people who actually want to play a CoOp game. The way he acts is like a guy that is dating a hooker and then complains about all the strange men coming and going from his home. People need a clue.
