Doesn't seem to work for me: i have used 3 different axes (including a wood axe) on a stack of logs so far but nothing happens when i drag the axe over the logs.. What am i missing here exactly? thanks

Not a stack of logs on the ground that you interact with. It's an item you loot that looks like a little log standing on end that ends up in your inventory.

i know.. it's a stack of 5 those in my inventory. and using an axe on it does nothing.

use a knife. Turns it into an arrow shaft.

oh those. Haven't tried em yet. You could go search for the Divinity Original Sin crafting recipe. There's even 1 in the Guides.

Not all axes work on logs (for some reason). Keep trying different ones.

Also, make sure you don't have a 'Crafting Level too Low' notice over your character's head when you try to make sticks.

I think, although don't know for sure, that it has to be a one handed axe. Kind of an odd choice since the wood axe, which you'd think would work, is two handed.

When you use an axe on a log, it might only show wood chips, but it also makes branches as well as the the wood chips
