Black cove: No trap door?
I did exactly what other people on this forum suggested. I pulled the first switch (on the ground) in the pirate's office. There is no picture along the wall or switch as the pirate ghost appeared and blew the freaking room up as I did not go for the dissarming switch for his trap. Now there is just debris and smoke traps about the floor.

The painting on the wall to the right of the table will slid over when you pull the lever. That reveals a switch. Push the switch and a trap door is revealed on the floor in the top left corner of the room next to the gate.

Ok I figured it out. Almost everyones advice insinuated that the second switch was in the pirate's office. The painting is not ABOVE A TABLE BUT NORTH OF IT ALONG THE WALL. Please do not answer questions unles you are certain. The second swith is the in the large room with the globe, deer wall trophy, desk, table, dinner table, and lots of cob webs, oh and a chest. The one with the first locked door that leads down to the harbor. The switchis behind the painting in this room. Blast it with fireballs or arrows to reveal the hidden door.

The room with the deer trophy, desk, table (with painting that slides on wall to right) IS THE PIRATE'S OFFICE.

That was the room I was talking about. Because that is where the hatch is located.

The other switch is not in the pirates office.

Make a general statement and someone inevitably assumes it was targeted at them.

Nope. A switch was in the room with the traps where the ghost appears. The other switch is behind the painting in the "pirate's office".

The room where the ghost appears (and a potential inferno can happen) is not the office. The office is the area past the crab-man.

Your thread is about finding the trap door. That 1st switch you keep talking about has nothing to do with the trap door. That switch is for disarming the pressure plate trap in that room.

The room with the gate leading down to the docks. As you walk in, there is a desk on your right hand side with the Pirates journal (or something similarly named). On the wall behind that desk is a painting that you can move aside. The switch is behind that painting.

The trapdoor will appear under some barrels (Looking toward the gate leading to the docks, there will be some barrels to the left of the gate. The trapdoor is beneath them).

That was not obvious so I did not know which one was called "the pirates office".

For the record, the trapdoor isn't 'revealed', one still has to pixel hunt for it and it doesn't show up as when u press ALT (not that they door normally, but it's not like its that obvious)
