Yox and Troll Quest
How do you give the Yox the imp the potion of courage?
How do I get the troll king/cave quest? I have the files to remove the spell and have talked to Brandon with and without ore in my inv.

Am I screwed since freddy went hero and died while fighting the spider queen?

I just spoke to the imp after I created it and one of the dialogue options was to give it to him, he ran outside and saw his dead master and then left and the quest completed. I think the deal with the Troll King quest is you just need some ore in his bag and he will accept it. I actually used the ore from the Geomancer's study and the blacksmith area in Sacred Stone and he accepted that. I later went back to the Troll's cave to mine tenebrium to make some weapons of my own, but he took it regardless of where it came from.

I've the ore from locations as described by you. Still the Brandon's quest is still on. What's wrong?

Looks like a bug or something is wrong, I cannot give Yox the potion and Brandon refuses to give me the quest. Oh well thanks for the replies anyways.

I can't do anything inside the troll cave even I have the book taken from the wizard liar. How to use this book?

I was able to make the potion of fearless not the courage potion but couldn't give it to the imp. His master was dead on the ground infront of him and the imp kept saying he shouldn't have done what he did. There was no option to give him the fearless potion in the dialog. So I just killed the imp and the quest was tagged as complete saying something like the imp master killed the imp in rage. I also got the quest exp.

May I suggest just killing the imp. Your quest will be tagged as complete.

As for the troll king quest, I assume you're trying to get inside it? If you already have the spell needed to unblock the path, there's a "circle" right outside the Troll king cave, stand in it and read the spell. You'll then hear a conversation between your two main characters, and there shouldn't be a statue blocking your path now.

Thanks for the help, there is a dead Yox in my future but unfortunately Brandon will not give the quest. I went ahead and killed the troll king to get all the loot... oh well

Is there a way to get the Teneberium (spelling) skill w/o Brandon and the book in one of the shops that gives the skill to one person?

Im necoring this because I was looking for an answer myself. And on the second try I realised, that you have to actually take the scroll. When you grab the scroll the quest updates but it doesn't if you just read it and leave it on the table.
After that make the elixir and a dialog option opens with Yox.

You can find a book in Sacred Stone that gives the skill for tenebrium. Talk to Brandon about his retirement plans to get the dialogue for the quest.

Just tried this and could give the potion to Yox. I went back out to Fredrick (who was dead), the back to Yox, where I had a new dialogue option to give him the potion.

I confirm that there is a small bug in de dialogue, (EE, final version).
I killed Frederik before entering the cave.
When entering the cave, I went first to the library and got the crafting book.
Then talked to the imp, all options, and told him to stay here.
Then killed the flowers and crafted the potion : It is "Filter of the Fearless Imp", and not "Elixir of Courage" by the way...
Then I went to the imp, and I had only 2 dialogues options without one offering to take the potion...
However, after reloading from a save and talking again to the imp, the 3rd option came and I could finish the quest.

Potion crafted? No dialogue option? Reload, and try again. There is somewhere a trigger that needs to be refreshed by reloading the game...

Ah, last thing (is it the faulty trigger?): When I had no dialogue option for a potion, I bought the rotten eggs from Vox BEFORE doing the potion.
When I use my saved game, I had not yet bought anything from him, and it worked.
Is it this that blocks the dialogue option ?
