AMD Radeon HD 8330 Good Enough?
I recently had to downgrade to a laptop. My computer's motherboard went out, and since I'm not terribly tech-savvy enough to figure out if the name of my video card is good enough for the name of the recommended video card of the game (seriously, how do you even know?), I'm asking my fellow Steam community.

Since the video card and it's name itself isn't the only concern, I'll state some additional specs:

Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 8330 (Integrated Graphics)
Pixil Shader 5.0
Vertex Shader 5.0
Dedicated Video RAM 512 MB

CPU: AMD A4-500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics
1.5 GHz in speed.

RAM: 5.6 GB (Not concerned about)

My windows 8.1 64-bit (also not concerned about)

That's the important stuff I do believe. So do me a solid one guys. Can I run this game smoothly without feeling the terrible terrible feeling of buying a game that you can't play or return? I did that once with Guild Wars when I was like, 15. That's a lot to handle for 15.

This is misleading, a 6870 is far superior to a 8330.

See, now I was waiting for that response from someone.
I'm no use either 7970 here.

For what it's worth if it would run, it would not run well. That's not a graphics card you have, that's intregrated graphics. In simple terms what that means is that your system will make use of RAM to process graphics so it also reduces the RAM available to you.

7850 with 2gig ram, working fine on my end. auto-detect says ultra-settings but i leave it on high cause the slight camera stutte when rotating fast is annoying me.

edit: regarding the required system specs on the steam page you should be able to run this game. there are plenty graphic settings you can finetune so i think you should be ok with it.

Again, you are misleading the OP by giving the impression that a higher number is better.

i stated two facts, one i gave him my GPU info for comparison (didn't say mine was worse or better) and secondly i said that regarding the minimum specs which are given on the steam frontpage AND the available options i think that he would be able to run this game. not saying on high settings but run it!

Just so you guys know, I'm okay with running a game on low graphic settings. It's not the quality of the graphics I'm concerned about, it's simply the question of whether or not this game will run on those mid-low settings.

Your gpu is slightly on par with Intel HD 4000. Here is someone playing the game with HD 3000:

However, you should note that the guy playing has a much better cpu than yours. It is likely that you will be able to play the game on the lowest graphical settings possible. I hope this helps.

edit: Also, here is someone with an Intel HD 1000:

i have same graphic and run
csgo:60-80 fps
bf3-30-35 fps RUN REALLY GOOD I HAVE 385h of gameplay
bf4-25-30 fps
tf2-60-80 fps
cod ghost 30-40 fps
cod aw-20-30 this one is bad
Titanfall-25-40
Minimum requirement to run this game is an Intel HD 4000/AMD HD 4850 and this card is about as good as Intel HD 4000, but the CPU is really slow and far below the CPU Requirement. I think it's going to be a slideshow on anything else than the absolute minimum resolution and quality. Smoothly? Unless your reflexes are really slow in every way, I don't think so. Does it matter? Well.. Combat is not real-time, but turn-based..

-- what the hell was I thinking --

Hello and sorry for digging this up. Do you still have the Laütop with said GPU by chance?

I used to have slightly better specs than you. The game was running fine in general but there were a few moments where it started the frame drops, mostly on bigger battles.

Also prepare for 1-3 minute loadings :D

I do still have it. In fact, I'm using it still as my primary computer since I don't have funds for a new one.

I sent you a friend request, since I have some questions regarding that CPU which are off-topic here ^^
