Enhancement and Enchanting

Hi

There are some crafting mechanism I still dont quite underatand. Hope you can help me.

I am aware that I can enhance raw dmg of melee weapons by using grindstone but what about bow and crossbow? What do I use?

Just want to make sure that enhancing raw dmg with grindstone can only be done ONCE, correct?

Do essence elements stack when enchanting a weapon?

What does tormented soul do?

What does Tenebrium do? Where can I find one?

To the best of my knowledge you cannot enhance ranged weapons. Granted I've only done one full playthrough of live and I'm working on a second now, so it's possible they snuck that in and I didn't notice in the patch notes.

That list is kinda outdated and incomplete, no? iirc u can craft short bow from string and branch but there is nowhere to be found on that list

Right, I finished my first playthrough, and I'm in Cyseal working on my second playthrough. I've finished the full game once, and am now doing it again with a new party composition.

You are incorrect my friend. To enhance bows and crossbows you need to craft a bowstring. You can do this by combining two "sinews" ...... "strong sinews" don't seem to work. However, "sinew + sinew" = "bowstring" ....use the bowstring on either a bow or crossbow and you get the same effect as using a whetstone on the blade weapons. You can then still add , elemental essences, sextants, tenebrium and tormented souls to receive an epic bow / crossbow :)
