Crafting: Smelting?

So, what can you do with the smelter? I know you can make iron bars and steel bars from iron ores. I know you can make swords and axes from iron ans steel. I know you can make bread and pizza, though i thought that was a bit... overkill.

I know that you can melt swords and axes into iron and steel bars... but not full plate armor. Can't melt down spears, or knives, or dagger, or scythes. I know you can't make daggers or knives, or at least, I haven't been able to. I know you can't make bows, but at least that makes sense. I think you should be able to make armor, though for the life of me i haven't figured out how.

When it comes to crafting in games, I really don't care about food or potions or scrolls or such rubbish; I just like making weapons and armors. So far, my choices seems... limited.

I've two bars of silver (which i have no idea where i got it from), but neither the smelter, anvil, nor whetstone wants anything to do with it.

I agree, the bars are kind of useless to me too.

So silver bars just make silver arrowheads? That's... limiting.

Possibly not. That's just one person's guide, there might be more recipes with it :)

You can make armor. But you need leather or metal scraps for it, no iron or steel bars. ;)
