Need some help with an early quest in Luculla Forest [ small spoilers for that area inside!]

Quest "An a mount of healing magic", I'm pretty far in that area but I can't figure out what I need for that ♥♥♥♥ing beast. I tried a healing spell but it didn't work, I tried giving him a potion but I can't figure out how and I tried using a blood stone near him but that didn't work. I already killed the priest during an other quest and my hopes that the animal loving white witch will help me didn't work out either. What am I missing?


Edit: not really realated but the only quest I didn't finish from the first area ist "adventerer tom" where is he?

you have to talk to that mount after getting the blood stone.
