Spells/Skillbooks and Vendors (Rain Spell)
Does anyone know if certain vendors have certain spells/books etc. or if its randomized?

Is the only way to learn new spells/skills after character creation through skillbooks, a pricey way of doing things.

Am trying to find the "Rain" spell but am having trouble locating it. The enchantress in the marketplace doesn't have it. Anyone know where to find it?

Thanks for any pointers.

I found a couple Rain scrolls in that first dungeon after you see the cultists for the first time. After that, I believe you have a chance to get a scroll, book or skill book from any bookshelf you encounter. I found a blank water skill book in a book shelf in the Legion Headquarters. Combining the Rain scroll with a blank Water Skill Book will create a Rain Skill Book. However, you do need the approriate skill (Hydrosophist) and Crafting to do it. Like if you had 2 mages and only one had crafting, he could only craft things scrolls/skillbooks that dealt with his particular skills (air/earth/fire/water).

Enchantress has Water/Air books, and she has different books each time you level/.

Other spellbook vendors will appear on other maps, but in Cyseal the enchantress in the market is the only reasonably reliable source. Thelyron may occasionally offer a spellbook, but he doesn't focus on any type.

Actually, doesn't Arhu also sell spellbooks? As well, I believe a ship captain called ...Harold? out on the wharves also sells spellbooks and magic items.

The ship captain on the ship at the end of the first jetty where the ship is on fire had a few skill books on offer. Thanks all for the helpful tips.
